Well, as you may or may not know, Janet, Joanne and I have been working to bring the website up to a useable state. Some of you may have tried to use certain parts and had trouble since I have been working on both sites non-stop for a few days. I apologize for the inconvenience but there were quite a few things that needed to be tested beforehand. The online bid form has been tested and is working. Please use it! In addition to the online form it would be a good idea to get a return email from Janet or Joanne confirming receipt of bid. This is normal protocol. Try not to call unless you absolutely have to. Ultimately, this should make everyone’s life a bit easier, including the schedulers. I will continue to update the site as we go along. Next is the company directory. There is a pilot information form at the site that should be filled out if you want to be included in the directory and mailing list for updates.
With any free website area there is always the possibility of irritating “down time” for maintenance. To keep this from becoming a problem, I have created a duplicate site that will be identical in every way to the original. Both sites will be updated simultaneously, so it will not matter which site you use. Whatever works better for you. Remember that if this privilege is not abused we could possibly see a private website in the future.
Please feel free to notify me of any problems you have on the site. Please be specific and I will try to get to it ASAP. Any suggestions that you may have are also appreciated. I hope everyone will be patient and enjoy being able to take advantage of the conveniences of having this online information available. It has been my pleasure!
